The American Advertising Awards – Dayton were held in March. The American Advertising Federation (AAF) holds a three tier competition which starts at all local ad clubs, continues to districts, and then culminates in national awards.
Kelly’s image was entered in the local AAF-Dayton Hermes ADDY® competition. An ADDY® award is given within different categories of advertising to the best in the local market. Kelly won her 2nd Hermes award, the highest local ADDY® award you can receive. Her image will now go on to district competition.
All of the material submitted has to be commissioned and captured in the calendar year. Meaning, this is current client work that was used in real advertising. This image in particular was captured at Greenpoint Metal in Franklin Ohio. Greenpoint Metal needed some updated photography for their website and marketing. It was part of a full day shoot on location at their facility. This shot was not planned, rather one of the employees asked if we would like to see some sparks!! Kelly was excited and up for it. “I thought for sure my hair had caught on fire while I was shooting but it was totally worth it!” This is why we love what we do.
